Terms of Service | Althia Limo

1. Purpose and scope

These general conditions govern the contracting of private hire vehicle with driver (VTC) services provided by Althia Limo to its clients. Booking any service implies full acceptance of these conditions.

These conditions are drafted in Spanish and translated into English for information purposes. In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version available at althialimo.com/es/legal/terminos.html shall prevail.

2. Booking a service

A service may be booked through the following channels:

The service is considered confirmed once Althia Limo has sent the client written confirmation of the booking, either by email or by WhatsApp message.

3. Prices and payment

Service prices are those agreed in the personalised quotation provided to the client. Althia Limo accepts the following payment methods:

Bank transfer
Credit or debit card
Cash (for one-off services of a modest amount)
Monthly invoicing (for corporate clients under prior agreement)

The prices quoted include VAT and all items agreed in the quotation. No additional charges will apply unless the service is substantially modified at the client's request.

4. Cancellations and changes

Cancellations and changes are governed by the following policy:

Cancellation more than 48 hours in advance: free of charge.
Cancellation between 24 and 48 hours: 25% of the service price.
Cancellation less than 24 hours in advance: 50% of the service price.
No-show: 100% of the service price.

For weddings, special events and multi-day services, specific cancellation conditions will be stated in the corresponding quotation.

5. Client obligations

The client undertakes to:

Provide truthful and complete information about the service requested.
Be available at the agreed pick-up point at the stated time.
Treat the chauffeur and the vehicle with due respect.
Refrain from smoking or consuming alcohol or prohibited substances inside the vehicle.
Communicate any change to the service as far in advance as possible.

6. Althia Limo obligations

Althia Limo undertakes to:

Provide the service under the agreed conditions, punctually and professionally.
Hold a valid VTC licence for all services provided.
Maintain the fleet in perfect condition of safety and cleanliness.
Guarantee the confidentiality of client information.
Inform the client of any incident that may affect the service.

7. Liability

Althia Limo holds civil liability and passenger insurance on all its vehicles, in accordance with current regulations. The liability of Althia Limo is limited to the amount of the contracted service, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

Althia Limo shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its control, such as extreme weather conditions, third-party road accidents, road closures or force majeure.

Nothing in these conditions limits the rights that consumer protection legislation grants the client as a consumer.

8. Luggage and personal belongings

Althia Limo accepts no responsibility for personal belongings and luggage that clients bring into the vehicles. Clients are advised to check that nothing has been left behind at the end of the service. In the event of a forgotten item, the client may contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to locate and return it.

9. Data protection

The processing of personal data arising from the contracting of our services is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these conditions.

10. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These conditions are governed by Spanish law. For the resolution of any dispute arising from their interpretation or application, the parties submit to the Courts of the client's domicile where the client is a consumer. In all other cases, the Courts of Madrid shall have jurisdiction.
